1. Organizer
The contest is organized by La Forêt des Singes (Monkey Forest), located in Rocamadour (46500), France.
2. Contest Period
The contest runs from July 1st, 2026 to September 30th, 2026.
3. Main Photo Contest
This contest is open to amateur photographers aged 13 and over.
Each participant may submit up to 10 photographs via the online entry form.
Photographs must primarily feature monkeys observed at La Forêt des Singes. Visitors or staff members must not be identifiable in the images without their permission.
Metadata (EXIF data) is recommended but not required.
Monthly prizes:
- 6 winning photographs: free admission tickets to La Forêt des Singes.
- 1 jury favourite photograph: free admission tickets + 1 Barbary macaque plush toy.
4. Photo Selection
Photographs will be judged according to the following criteria:
- Technical quality
- Originality
- Showcasing the monkeys
- Respect for the spirit of the park and animal welfare
The jury’s decisions are final.
5. Publication and Credits
The photographer’s name will be credited whenever possible when a photograph is published.
If an Instagram account, Facebook account or website is provided, it may be mentioned when appropriate.
6. Use of Photographs
Selected photographs may be used on various communication and promotional materials of La Forêt des Singes, including:
- Postcards
- Souvenir cups
- Magnets
- La Forêt des Singes souvenir coin
- Website
- Social media
- Posters, brochures and other promotional materials
Photographers whose images are selected may receive free admission tickets and exclusive gifts from La Forêt des Singes as a thank-you for their participation.
7. Rights and Permissions
By participating, each photographer:
- Grants La Forêt des Singes a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use the submitted photographs for communication and promotional purposes.
- Also authorizes the use of the photographs by the other parks within the same group:
- La Forêt des Singes – Rocamadour (France)
- La Montagne des Singes – Kintzheim (France)
- Monkey Forest – Trentham (United Kingdom)
- Affenberg Salem – Salem (Germany)
- Retains full ownership of the photographs.
- Authorizes minor cropping or adjustments required for publication.
- Declares that they are the sole author of the submitted photographs.
8. Respect of Park Rules
Photographs must not show:
- Dangerous or inappropriate behaviour.
- Situations that violate park rules.
- Any unauthorized interaction with the monkeys.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in automatic disqualification.
9. Personal Data
The personal data collected is used solely for the administration of the contest.
It will not be sold or shared with third parties outside the group.

10. Acceptance of the Rules
Participation in the contest implies full acceptance of these rules.
11. Amendments
La Forêt des Singes reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the contest at any time should circumstances require it.
