The season is in full swing at La Forêt des Singes, and we’re excited to introduce you to 6 newborn Barbary macaques already visible along the forest trail!

And this year? It’s definitely a year of the boys!

• 💗 2 females

In Barbary macaques, the social hierarchy depends on gender:

• 👦 Males need to build friendships and alliances to move up the ranks.
• 👧 Females inherit their mother’s rank, passed down from generation to generation. Among sisters, the eldest is usually dominant.

🐒 Feeding Sessions with Commentary

Every 45 minutes, our nature guides host feeding sessions with commentary. It’s the perfect opportunity to observe the monkeys up close and learn more about their diet, behavior and social dynamics in real time. A fun and educational moment for all ages.

🎡 The Naturalist Wheel

Spin the wheel and test your knowledge of monkeys and nature! If you answer correctly, you’ll win a small prize. A fun and interactive activity for children aged 5 and up.

🌿 The “Piste du Causse” Nature Trail

Included with your entry ticket, this educational trail invites you to discover the local ecosystem of the Causses. Along the way, you’ll find signs and observation points highlighting amphibians, plants, and the balance between humans and nature. A peaceful, enriching walk for the whole family.

🐵 Come See Them for Yourself!

The babies are already active and visible along the trail — playful, curious, and always close to their mothers. Don’t miss the chance to see them in their natural environment!
